Who can apply?

* Age 19 and up

* Must live in Okaloosa County

* Must have a current library card at Okaloosa Library

* Does not have a high school diploma or GED

What's next?

* Look for an email from the library with instructions for prerequisite class.

* Create an account and complete prerequisite class within 2 weeks.

* Attend in-person interview to qualify for scholarship.

* Scholarship recipients enroll in the full program.

Career Online High School - COHS

The Career Online High School program will prepare you to be successful in your career or continuing education with an accredited high school diploma and career certificate. With Career Online High School you will:

  • Earn an accredited high school diploma
  • Earn a career certificate
  • Take classes online with the flexibility of 24/7 access
  • Get support from certified instructors and an academic coach who cares about your success
  • Gain career readiness with a career portfolio including a resume, a cover letter, and job preparation support

The COHS Experience

  • Students are assigned an academic coach who provides the student with an individual career path, offers ongoing guidance, evaluates performance and connects the student with resources needed to master the courses.
  • Students should spend 8-10 hours a week on COHS.
  • Students must complete courses within 18 months.
  • Previously completed accredited high school credits can be transferred.
