Description
Set in 1812, Jack Aubrey and his shipmate Stephen Maturin set course across the South Atlantic to intercept an American frigate that is sailing to disrupt the British whaling trade. Aubrey has to cope with a succession of disasters, including men overboard, castaways, savages, storms and shipwrecks.
